Kate Jackson
Board Chair | Senior Director of Talent and Leadership Culture, Capital One
Kate leads strategic enterprise HR teams focused on building a talent and leadership development culture at Capital One. Her career has spanned the non-profit and private sectors, weaving dual passions for civic engagement and social change with business development, consulting and organizational excellence. Previously she served as Director of Networks at Grist, where she launched a new leadership program for entrepreneurs in sustainability, and Senior Knowledge Expert with McKinsey where she consulted with large organizations around the world on innovation, and on change management. Kate started her career as a grassroots organizer and ran policy campaigns and programs to improve land use planning, environmental justice and a move to renewable energy. She has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a BA from Harvard University, and lives outside of Washington DC.

Eric is an economist with a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley. He currently manages Moody’s California Local Government Ratings, where his team assigns and monitors ratings for California’s highest profile local governments.

Susan is a writer who focuses on science, natural history, and the environment. She is a contributing editor at Audubon Magazine and a frequent contributor to National Geographic. Her articles have been syndicated in 80 newspapers across the U.S. She lived for eight years in Brazil, and travels around the world for her reporting.
Richard Gledhill
Climate Change and International Development Adviser
Richard is a former partner and the Global Leader of Climate Change & Carbon Market Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he oversaw an international network of more than 200 climate change specialists. Since retiring from PWC in 2013, Richard has served as an executive board member for the National Environment Research Council – the UK’s largest funder of independent environmental science, training and innovation.
Jean Pierre Ometto
Senior Researcher, Brazilian Institute of Space Research (INPE); Coordinator of the Earth System Science Center (CCST/INPE)
Jean P. Ometto is Senior Researcher at the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research and Dean of the Earth System Science Centre. Dr. Ometto has worked extensively evaluating uncertainties associated to above ground biomass estimates and its effects on carbon emissions, at local and regional scales. He has contributed to the Brazilian Government on the issues related to the quantification of carbon emissions from LULUCF sector. His recent research focuses on effects of anthropogenic activities and climate change on natural biogeochemical processes, land use and land cover, effects on greenhouse gases emissions and nutrient balance.
