Rafael is a Cadastral and Geodesy Engineer from the District of Bogota, Colombia. He has worked for 9 years in digital image processing as an analyst and developer of geographic information systems. He previously worked at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Colombia in the Alternative Development program for illicit crops. While there, he published a report in cooperation with GIZ-REDD + on the deforestation drivers of coca crops in the regions of Catatumbo and the Colombian Amazon.
