Yoga has a background in GIS and remote sensing methods in the study of landcover changes in Indonesia. He has also worked on developing methods for object-based image classifications. More recently, Yoga has focused on carbon emissions, illegal deforestation and spatial planning based on carrying capacity in several districts including Riau and Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Yoga earned a B.S. degree in Geography from the University of Indonesia, and a Master’s degree in Geoinformatics from the University of Twente, the Netherlands. At EII, Yoga serves as a Research Associate in spatial analysis focusing on programs in Indonesia. In his free time, he likes watching soccer and cooking.
